hm. after doing a xbench test myself and owing "only" a nvidia geforce 2mx (my radeon died last weekend *sniff*) I expected my results to be somewhat lower. then again, I do have a speedier cpu (1,2 GHz). the results are: Quartz Graphics Test 124.88 Line 99.25 2.53 Klines/sec [50% alpha] Rectangle 110.66 7.78 Krects/sec [50% alpha] Circle 123.41 2.84 Kcircles/sec [50% alpha] Bezier 111.13 1.21 Kbeziers/sec [50% alpha] Text 261.51 4.26 Kchars/sec The fact that I get better results than stevie, albeit a less performant card, must be attributed to the speedier cpu. It looks as it helps more to change the CPU than to change the graphics card. Too bad it doesn't take more load off the cpu... wolf Am 31.01.2004 um 18:36 schrieb Stevie: > Hello friends again, > > > first the answer to Seans question: for my test I used a simple > measuring tool for consumption (normally used for household > appliances), that shows the numbers on a LCD-Display.
