When clicking the "minus" button in the bottom of the Mail.app > Preferences > Accounts list dialog, you are presented with this message: > Are you sure you want to remove the account ³Your Name²? > > This will erase all mailboxes for this account, but will not affect any > messages stored on your mail server. You can look in ~/Library/Mail to see if any of your mailboxes are still there, but I believe once they are deleted from Mail.app, they are gone.
