[Cube] No more powerup chime for me...

HEY!  Me, too.  Guess it is not just my machine, then.

At first it was behving normally.  Then after some time I noticed the  
startup chime was just barely audible.  I checked all the  
connections, other sounds work ok, etc.  It has stayed like this for  
a couple of weeks now or so.  It has not been intermittent.  I  
thought maybe the firmware needs to be updated or something, but  
apparently not so.  I get that same pop when the audio line is hit at  
boot time.  The are the original speakers that came with the Cube,  
Oct 2000.
