That's how big the 12" is. Volumetrically "X" > x "Y" x "Z" it is smaller though. I doubt anyone was thinking that it was enormously smaller. After all, there's a certain minimum size involved given that you want a 12" screen and a keyboard (and a battery, and RAM, and a CPU, and...). The point, at least for me, is that here's (finally!) a Powerbook that's very close to the Duo form factor, that's got pretty much all the features of the high-end machines.
