I am still using one.  You need a "good" "active" external terminiator.
Also, native Apple CD driver won't work.  You need either FWB (or other 3rd
party) driver or hacked Apple driver.

BTW, the sound is bad when I use it a cd play....  My $30 RCA CD player
sound better.
