Wavelan/Orinoco Bronze 2400c?

I'm interested in getting 2400c onto wireless network via Airport 
Basestation (Snow). There are some good deals to be had on the 
Orinoco/Wavelan Bronze PC card. Having checked the mac2400 site on 
wi-fi the guy who set up his pb1400 said he couldn't get the bronze 
card to work, although silver and gold were OK. Why should this be, and 
has anyone had any success with this card?
