[rant] i always saw what you call 'user friendly' to be very childish... the 'happy mac' the weird rounded corners on the edge of the display... and the closed box way they are constructed.... macs have always felt like something v-tech or tiger electronics made for children... something to giggle at and say 'aww how cute' (the main reasons i will never use a mac for anything other than a toy) .... but then again... the same can be said about the kindergardener fingerpaint look of windoze XP... (tho im not sure whats worse.. fingerpainted windows or a molten clear plastic mac [aqua]) -- give me linux/x86 any day (linux looks the way the -user- wants.. not the way the 'factory' wants) [/rant] PS has anyone out there given linux/m68k a try? (it boots on a duo 280c... but the kernel i used didnt support powerbook keyboards... i havent gotten around to trying a newer kernel) On Mar 30, 2005 6:47 AM, R.
