I don't see how it wouldn't work.  My advice to you is to enable 32-bit data on your 2400c's PC Card cages.  The only issue may be with powering peripherals.  If they take too much power, they won't work.  This has always been a problem with earlier PowerBooks and USB/FireWire cards.  

If you don't know how to enable 32-bit, take a look back in the list archives and on Google.
