OK, then. Go to http://ifthensoft.com and download Dragster. Install it and run it. Delete your user GlobalPreferences with it, and after it restarts, go into System Preferences and reset whatever prefs got poofed. Don't try doing this without Dragster unless you're comfortable in Terminal. I'm not sure I'm understanding you about iTunes. See if everything works fine after Dragster. If iTunes still won't open, then you'll need to find iTunes' .plist preferences file and delete that. You'll want to boot into OS9 (if you have a newer MDD G4, you'll have to boot from an install CD with OS9.22 on it) and find it in your user ~/Library/Preferences folder. "Troubleshooter" (admin) seems to work fine; iTunes can start. I even was able to start the print spooler which had refused to run under my login, and it stayed running when I logged out then back in as me (even printed a page under my login), although iTunes (a good quick test) still failed to start.
