Importing video into a G4 MDD

Sorry for the xpost, I know this is more of a G4 question but I can't 
remember the last post that came through the G4 list.

I have an older Sony Hi-8 video camera. I used to import movies into 
my old Apple TV/Video card system (which is still installed in my 
PM6500).

This camera does not have the firewire output. Is there a cable that 
allows you to use the video-out cables into the newer G4's? Or do I 
need to get a different video board that will go into it?
