I installed my version of 10.2.8 over itself to clear up some serious software glitches. It does lose you a bunch of preferences which you will have to re-set in applications. However, I didn't have any trouble with things like Mail or iTunes losing its files. I don't recall having any other issues, though I may have had to reinstall some hardware drivers (it's been a while). Bottom line is I didn't have any regrets for having done it. -Lavode > Thanks for suggestions.
