Hi, Jeff... I bought one for myself a few weeks ago, and I couldn't be happier! It's very quiet, stylish (of course.... it's a Mac) and very suitably quick for my audio production tasks. It handles a significant number of software instruments in GarageBand very well; you can hear an example of this on a techno-classical piece I recorded recently: http://members.rogers.com/tgamble180/lastfrontier.mp3 The only issue I had with the unit was the amount of RAM it comes with. I've found that OS X really wants as close to 512Mb minimum as possible. The SP only comes with 256, so that was the first thing I improved upon.
