My Mac Quicksilver 2002 is once again running without problems (I had to swap out the OWC Mercury Extreme 1.4 GHZ processor upgrade for the original 800 MHz processor--done successfully, though with great trepidation!), and I am back using Eudora. When my Mac was acting up with the upgraded processor, I suspected a corrupted Eudora. I was wrong! Anyway, I found Mail.app to be VASTLY underpowered in almost any respect that one could mention. The only saving grace was that it displayed HTML pages with fidelity, whereas Eudora for Mac (as opposed to Eudora for PC) does a lousy job with HTML messages (though you can select manually "open in browser"). I repeat, though, that I was able to set up FOUR separate mail accounts with the same ISP/server in Mail.app. The one I use for this list is just one of the four. So, I don't know what the source of the problem that started this thread might be. I was also able to set up an account (using SSL) to gmail.com (Google Mail), using the POP Mail feature of GMail. So, all-in-all, I had five accounts active in Mail.app, as I do in Eudora. --Steve At 8:30 AM -0500 6/10/05, Roger Harris wrote: >Like I said; I have done this before in Mail. I will try this on another mac; I might have to reinstall mail on my main Mac. for me, Mail is always been headache at some point. I have even had earlier versions of Mail completely disappear; The whole application and everything in the Library. I didn't think this was possible. I had this happen on two different macs and I had it happen on a clients' Mac.
