[G4] How do I connect a Powermac G4 400 DVD to a beige Powermac G3?

I've found that the easiest solution for me was to use Appletalk over  
the ethernet port.  I currently have an old Umax clone with a G3  
upgrade successfully linked to my G4/MDD to share highspeed internet,  
and it's super quick. :)
