500 GB SATA drives are opening @ 80¢ a gig ($399). I recently bought a 400 ATA Seagate for 60¢ a gig ($240) including tax and rebate. I don't think you'll see 50¢ a gig for the 500 SATAs b4 next Spring. That would be $249 after rebate and tax. $120 is not a realistic expectation b4 2007. Lowest price on new 120 ATAs is now just over 20¢ a gig ($26.40) after tax and rebates in CA. 4x $26.40 = $105.60 for just short of 500 GB. But you pay a premium for it to be all in one drive. So $120 is certainly doable by 2007. A few months - no way.
