I agree with Harry Freeman. Commercial (and some home-made) DVDs are encoded with a region code and your Mac DVD reader/player is designed to allow you to view different region coded discs and change the default region code FIVE times and then you will have to select the default region setting for the reader to use for all future viewings. If your region setting has been defaulted to a region that your discs are not from, the discs will not be viewable until you perform a reset of the region code. This CAN be done, but I am not completely sure of the method and hesitate to advise you to do anything that could bollux up the machine further. Perhaps another list reader has that region change method knowledge?
