Yes, Richard, I feel your pain.

Appleworks was a great bit of software that did everything it was supposed
to do without being mystifying and hard to understand.

Lately I have been using a clever little freebie word processor called,
"ABWORD". Check it out if you are looking for something simple.

I use it on my 1gb flash drive that I keep in my pocket. In a pinch I can
use it anywhere. It is MS Word compatible.
