I have to admit I'm new to the G4's. But I've seen this on other PC's, which are of course similar. In those cases it has been the processor it's self that has failed. But you know the BIOS on our Mac versions are different and so I'm not sure about audio beep codes. (and I bet there are none) But with the power supply, and the mother board replaced? In eleven years of electronic service barring any other signs of trouble that's where I go next. I hope that helps Larry. I'm anxious to hear from our more experienced members about this Kristen -----Original Message----- From: Larry Parsons Subject: [G4] G4 start up problems I have a gigabit internet 450DP G4 that will not start up. Powersupply has been replaced (new from Apple) as well as the motherboard (used from ebay). I cannot power up from the button on the front of the case but when I push the power button on the (old) keyboard the powersupply fan comes on. There are no other signs of life. I unplugged the power and pushed the reset button next to the pram battery, waited a few seconds then plugged in the power and tried to start up. Still nothing. Am I missing anything? Would replacing the pram battery do any good? Larry
