The dual core Intel processor is many times faster than the G4 (Apple says 5x). If you don't need the internal expansion, it's a very good deal. My two cents. i spent my $600 on a Sonnet dual 1.8GHz processor upgrade for my Quicksilver 2002 before the Mac Mini went dual core.
