[G4] OS9 needs new ext hard drive

I have a G4 running os 9  I have a large internal drive and a large  
external drive for my Pro Tools sessions.   The ext drive works great  
but is full (an Acomdata s/n 0842309).  The other drives I have tried  
via the fire wire or USB are extremely slow.   I can't find any info  
on line or at  the Mac store.   Can anyone help?
