All the external USB floppy drives I have found read PC 1.44 (HD) and Mac1.6 (HD), but not Mac 800 (DD), even if they read PC 720 (DD). All my old Mac games were on DD, so I had to transfer them to the old Mac HD, and then copy that to a HD disk. What a pain! Best I know you cannot hurt anything, you just may not be able to access them. If your old Mac is toast and you have DD disks, you will have to find a machine to copy to HD disks. Hope that makes sense. Valerie On 2/18/05 6:37 PM, "Pat" <patdart at cox.net> wrote: > Help again...what is the difference? What happens if they are the > wrong kind?
