Did you do a fresh install of Jag or just keep updating ?
My G3 350 got very slow on the last updater. I did wipe and fresh 
install. Things got to be as fast as my G4 dual almost.

Ever tried Mac Janitor ?
SwapCop ?
Moo ?

These all will speed up your machine.
