The problem is they won't fix anything if it doesn't show as broken at 
the shop.  When I took it in to ask about the dial up problem I also 
told them about the system hangs, but of course it worked perfectly for 
them.  I wasn't too surprised since the freeze ups are completely 
irregular.  And yes, this has been a regular feature since purchase 
time last November.  I keep hoping that the next OS update will fix 
things but no luck yet.

The shop guys told me that too, that there could be something different 
about my phone line.  Now that you mention it, my phone cords are a bit 
on the long side plus it goes through a surge protector thingy.  Next 
time I get a chance I'll try replacing them with some shorter ones.
