problem with indexing my hard drive

I am running 9.2.2/10.2 on an iMac that boots into both systems. Right now I
am using 9.2.2

I have Sherlock scheduled to index my hard drive twice  a week during the
early morning hours. However, it seems to be stuck on files that look like
font titles. The indexing has barely begun. When I try to stop it, my
computer freezes up.

Does anyone know why this happening and how to fix it?
