I would look at the Sony TRV240, which is a digital 8 unit that also 
will act as an AV bridge, and will play the old 8mm analog tapes, if 
you have any of those lying about. I'm not that keen on Digital8, but 
if that's your budget, its not a bad camera if you have 8mm analog 
tapes you want to play or edit, or old movies on VHS that you'd want to 
digitize at some point.
