iMovie Media folder into Final Cut Pro

Are you using the Digital 8 for pass thru? Or did you actually dub the VHS
material onto Dig8 and then use capture to bring into FCP?

It's  probably your Prefs settings. Sync adjust movies over 5 minutes should
be Unchecked. Also, make sure that your audio sampling rate is set to
whatever you've set your camera to. iMovie does this automatically, in FCP
you have to select the correct sampling rate.
