Neil,
I can't tell you why but I can tell you that you are not alone. For
some reason, at least with iMovie 3 and QT6.1 when you export to QT you
lose the audio fades. Since I was going to VCD and I found where Toast
moved the direct export selection to, when I export directly to Toast to
make a VCD the resulting MPEG file is fine. If you need to have a .mov
file I am at a loss. Hopefully some one else has an idea.

Greetings,
I have just exported a five minute piece from iMovie into Quicktime
using the Sorenson codec. When I opened the newly created Quicktime
file I noticed that none of the audio fades and changes in output level

that I had created had been included in the Quicktime movie.
Anyone know why?
Neil
