The two systems, PAL and SECAM, are not compatible... it is the same as 
with PAL and NTSC.

Something just struck me in what Mark said, and in the event that 
someone reading it might think that because iMovie can deal with PAL or 
NTSC, therefore you can convert from one to the other in iMoive.... YOU 
CAN'T  (sadly.)
