I use Digital 8 cameras from Sony for this all the time. At this point, the TRV350 is the only one that does pass-through. Beware of cameras that are less expensive because they may or may not pass through. I frankly just use the B&H site to make sure about equipment features and specs (bhphotovideo.com) since it's so huge, and I frequently end up buying from them anyway. Although I have an original Sony DA-1 converter, I don't use it much, since I make sure to get cameras that pass-through, and it seems to me that it doesn't cost that much more to get the whole camera, rather than just a converter.
