In an educational setting, I'd opt for at least one converter, to keep the cameras out in circulation with students, instead of doing something that a converter can do. If you're also using the camcorder to turn DV into NTSC during editing, it makes more sense to get converters for your workstations, again to keep the cameras shooting, rather than being transfer/DV to NTSC devices. You might also look at getting a dedicated deck or two to handle the transfer in and out, again, to keep the cameras shooting. Ted.
