Hi everyone, I just heard that my dad's old analog video camera just crapped out on him. He hopes to buy a new digital one this weekend. I told him I'd help him shop. I had my eye on the Canon ZR 60 as it is one of the most affordable miniDV cameras out there. I assume it has analog to digital playthrough, as my ZR10 does. Does anyone know of any reasons why he may not want that camera? I've seen that apple states that there may be a problem daisychaining some Canon cameras through a firewire drive, but doesn't seem to be an issue with my ZR10. I'd like to hear from some people who have the ZR60 or ZR70, or if you have any other suggestions for a consumer Digital camcorder around that price range. I don't know too much about Sony's models except that they don't all have playthrough. Thanks for any help Dave.
