Its the process of extracting the audio from the combined audio/video 
file. Like when you export AIFF from a QT movie. Unfortunately, QT 
isn't very good at this for MPEG files. There's a program called 
bbDemux that's pretty decent, and a newer program called Extractor that 
is really fast and simple to use.
