The final word on merging clips in iMovie

Hi all,

Last week I wrote asking how one could merge 2 clips together to form 
one in the Clip Pane. For the purpose of  being neat and tidy I didn't 
like short clips to sit on their own when they logically belonged with 
another and should be merged.

There really was no answer to this except for one cool little plugin 
that Erica Sadun suggested to me. It's called Title Glom and it does 
exactly as I was asking - it merges two clips together to form one. She 
developed this plug in and it is available in her iMovie book. If you 
want this feature and want to learn all the ins and outs of iMove I 
suggest checking out her book. It comes with additional plug ins that 
do things like create a picture in picture effect and so on...

The one drawback to Title Glom was that once it merged your 2 clips 
together it left the icon preview of the clip a basic black and you 
lose the image of the first frame of the clip as your view. But if you 
really want to put 2 together it's the only way.
