Hello to Everyone on the list! I'm new here. This will be my first post. Sorry for the basinc type question as I'm sure most are past this point so I'll make it quick. Although I have a USB iBook for daily work, my most commonly used/liked machine at home is an Apple TAM upgraded with a Sonnet 500mhz G3, Firewire and USB. It runs 0s9.1 (can upgraqde to 9.2). I have iMovie 1.0 loaded. I'm interested in joining the trend of transferring VHS family video to DVD. I've narrowed it down to these components 1. Dazzle Hollywood DV Editor for mac (now discontinued but available). 2. Lacie FW D2 HD (120mb seem fine) 3. Lacie FW dvd. (has roxio lite included?) I know there is Formac and other brand alternatives but would anyone recommend against the combo listed above? I've read mixed review of Formac. I also cannot invest alot of money even though it is for an important use (family videos are priceless, I'm sure many will agree...many relatives have passed on). And I want eqiupment that will work with the TAM/os9. I have read some basic info and realize that I need Quicktime Pro to convert .mov file to the importable .dv file to use in 1.0. And one more question. Does anyone know if the is a source for iMovie 2.0 or the most recent iMovie that will still work in os9? Thanks so much in advance!! (Sorry to those who have probably had to explain this before) Paul __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
