Rod: Thanks for your 2 cents. I think your advice is worth much more. Since the drive works fine with other software - ITUNES and others - I suspect you're right on target about their software. If I use Toast, it will encode, author and burn, yes? I think Formac may still be in business. They haven't answered my tech report emails but I was able to talk to a guy on the phone. He couldn't/wouldn't provide any help. I think he may have been sitting alone in a dark warehouse in Berkley talking on a cell phone! Thanks again for your help.
