Toast = iMovie + iDVD?

Since I don't have a built in DVD burner in any of my Macs, I'm considering
buying/using Toast 6 instead of iMovie/iDVD (and a hack).

Toast Six 101 question:  Can I grab video from my digital camcorder, edit
video (e.g., delete stuff), tweak sound, add titles/transitions/effects,
etc. with Toast like I can with iMovie?

In other words, I know I can burn disks with Toast but can I use it in place
of iMovie/iDVD to grab/edit/burn DVDs?

Any links would be helpful.
