Olivia, I assume you're talking about the Sony HX900 I mentioned?
It supports a wide range of DVD formats. So far, I have only used
DVD-R. They have worked properly on two other DVD players that I
own, as well as a friend's player in another country.

>From what I've read about DVD compatibility, though, I don't think
there are ever guarantees.
