[MacDV] Internet Kills Mac Apps

 It may be the case that a storm knocked out the ethernet port, it would not be the first time, but it is unlikely that the applications using that port would be affected.  You can run Safari, IE, Netscape, Mail, Outlook etc. despite the lack of a modem or ethernet port.
