You don't have to use Compressor with iDVD, since the MPEG2 compression is built into it. Render everything in the timeline. Do a File/Export/Quicktime Movie Don't check the box "Self Contained". Open up iDVD. Make sure iDVD's prefs are set to PAL. Choose a template. Drag the reference file you just created into the iDVD viewer. *Don't* drop it on anything that says "Drag your Movie Here". (your movie will only play in the tiny window, not full screen) Now you can mess around with different fonts, colours, changing the background image or music. When you are done, click the Burn button, and wait for it to ask you to load a blank - don't put the blank in first! - then click burn/ok and off you go. It will take minutes or hours to encode and then burn your disk, depending on how long your movie is and what computer processor you have. Btw,the safest way to burn the dvd is to choose File/Make Disk Image. When that is finished, open it up to play it on the DVD player to check it, then you can burn the disk image using the Disk Utility/Image/Burn Image. That's also the easiest way to save it for additional copies. regards, sb On 8/18/05 4:19 PM, "tucker ian" <carlian at picknowl.com.au> wrote: > I am using iDVD 5 to burn movies I compile in FCP HD.
