Having just read in a later posting that this is a problem with 50 files, rather than one or two, two possibilities stand out for me. One, the DVD ripping software is producing file glitches every time. Two, this is a disk/OS glitch, in which case, Disk Warrior and repairing permissions with Disk Utility might help. Repairing permissions can solve a bizarre range of problems. Last week, a student brought in her PowerBook. When she tried to play clips in iMovie, she would lose sync between sound and picture. After a few seconds, the video would freeze. We reloaded the clips, reinstalled iMovie, tried a different version of iMovie. Nothing helped. We repaired permissions, and all the problems disappeared. It seems odd to me, but I have seen it solve many different problems. Derek On Feb 15, 2005, at 4:26 PM, KathyMac! wrote: > I have several .mov files on my hard drive as well as my firewire > drives.
