I'm intrigued.  The specs state that -

Real-time encoding of analog video to the following formats:

      * MPEG-2
        Full D1 MPEG-2 broadcast resolution (720 x 480 NTSC)
        1/2 D1 MPEG-2 (352 x 480 NTSC)
        other capture resolutions:  640 x 480, 480 x 480
      * MPEG-1
        VCD (352 x 240)
        320 x 240
        Frame Rate:  30 frames per second
      * Video Bit rate:
          MPEG-1  .5 Mb/sec – 5 Mb/sec.
          MPEG-2: 1.5 Mb/sec to 6 Mb/sec.

I'm also skeptical that this can be done over USB...

Anyone heard anything good or bad about this device?  ADStech makes
fine external FW cases but that's all I know of the company.
