I'm a "newbie" to the DV list, but I have been using FCP for 3 years now. I have a problem with my Sony PD150 DV camera that I can't decide if it needs repair or if it is something I'll just have to deal with. I've noticed recently when I shoot under flourescent light, the color in the camera "oscillates" from normal to somewhat saturated. This oscillation occurs about every 2 seconds, with the picture going in and out of saturation. I have tried both manual and automatic white balance settings, manual and auto shutter controls and putting a polarizing filter in front of the lens. Nothing has helped. I do notice that if I light the scene with halogen lights, the problem appears to go away (or is at least greatly diminished). My issue here is that the nature of my video shooting requires being in areas with flourescent lights, and I will have a hard time turning them off in order to shoot. First, does anyone know what's going on? Second, is there a way to reset the camera to its factory defaults in case something may have been switched on inadvertently that might be causing the problem? Third, the camera is out of warranty. If it needs repair, do you have suggestions of places to send the PD150 for service? Thanks for any help you may provide. David Biddix
