Thank you sb. It's good to get that feedback from someone with so many install experiences. So you think it's all new or stay with the last versions of everything for complete FCP 4.5 compatibility? No Tiger 10.4.2 with 7.0.2 and FCP 4.5? I've used it that way successfully except for the 3ivx dual pass problem? Am I just lucky? Although I have to admit my old system upgraded to Tiger broke Compressor 1. But a new Tiger Install plus and a new FCP 4.5 install yielded a working Compressor 1. So I'm confused about the whole situation. -- Taylor Barcroft New Media Publisher, Editor, Video Journalist, Webcaster, Futurecaster Santa Cruz CA, Beach of the Silicon Valley URL http://FutureMedia.org RSS http://feeds.feedburner.com/FutureMedia iTunes http://tinyurl.com/8ql87 barcroft (gizmo) kungax (Skype) kungag5 (iChat-AIM) On Sep 17, 2005, at 5:16 PM, sb wrote: > As I replied to the original poster, you should stay with QT 6.5.2 > if you > are staying with FCP 4.5 on OS 10.3.9 > > If you want to do the upgrade, do the Tiger clean install first, then > upgrade to FCP 5, which will give you QT 7, which you can software > update to > the current verson (7.0.2) > > This is from quite a bit of experience (over 200 installs). > > regards, > > sb >
