You can use the "save as disc image" menu option to keep an image  
copy handy
It codes and saves an image of your DVD. Decompress, and mount it,  
you can play it.
  You can then delete the project file and save lot's of space and  
burn as many as you want with disc copy, burner, toast, whatever.
  Works good for me.
