You have no idea how mad that announcement made me. I knew Dragon 
systems didn't have the needed resources (well, I didn't know for 
sure but an educated guess based on years of dealing with the company 
sure pointed that way). Sure enough they later put out an 
announcement to the effect of "Um... never mind we just woke up to 
the fact we can't just port a recognition engine highly optimized for 
Windows over to the Mac so we're not going to put out a Mac product."

That episode hurt every Mac user who needs speech recognition.
