I have encountered a couple of strange problems when using iListen with Microsoft Word. In one case after doing some dictation the program would completely deaf and would not respond at all. I exited both iListen and Microsoft Word and then ran some tests. It turns out the computer was no longer hearing the microphone. I was able to resume work after restarting the computer. However, after not too long a time period iListen would not responded to the correction command either by voice or by mouse. I had to quit iListen and restart the program. This is a trial version of Microsoft Office for Mac OS X that I am using. I do not know if that has any effect. Here are the specifications for my speech recognition setup: 15 inch LCD iMac with SuperDrive 800 MHz G4 768 MB RAM VXI model P41TR microphone connected to a Griffin Technology iMic (this is the stock microphone that shipped with my copy of iListen) Mac OS X 10.2.6 ilisten 1.6.1 Has anyone else encountered anything like this? -- T.
