[MV] Dragon Dictate - Microphone seems WAY too sensitive - random words everywhere

Hi folks,

I am enjoying my new DragonDictate. However, I am having a problem with super sensitivity from the microphone.

The basic problem is that the microphone seems WAY too sensitive and random words such as "and or the it " etc. are appearing all over the place.

I have used the microphone setup feature to automatically set my microphone level several times. In addition I have set the manual level to as low as 10 or 15%–which is super low–and I am still having the same problem.

I am using a $40 Plantronics USB microphone which I have recorded separately and sounds fine.

- I am in a totally quiet room and I am definitely not breathing into the microphone - and yes, it is off to one side as recommended as I can the perfect mic position.
