#1 what I find happening when I get those random words is clearing my throat, hitting the mic or sudden intake of breath. #2 I’m not familiar with text macros and obviously have never used them. So I really can’t respond to this. #3 I think what you’re running into here is an correct commands if you want to use a tab the proper command is “tab key”, for a space the command is “space bar”. For me to do the following sentence – I use the following commands “space bar” “dash” “space bar” I know you didn’t ask about the “tab key” but I figure I’d toss it in at no charge. ;–} As you can see the my tagline this whole e-mail response was type strictly using DragonDictate. BTW I also David This is being typed using Dragon Dictate. Dragon Dictate allows you to talk and the computer to type your words as you speak. Any arrows, I will blame on the soft wear. ;-) Have a great day On Oct 28, 2010, at 7:22 PM, DealTek wrote: > ... still curious about this... > > Hello everybody, > > I have a couple of issues working with Dragon Dictate 2.0.1 > > 1 - no matter what I seem to do with the headset, or the microphone set up, I seem to still get random words popping in quite often on the Dictate notepad, generally words like: the a etc. > > I have worked with the microphone set up many times and it seems to usually set the number at roughly 54. This is a new occurrence that I don't remember prior to this latest update. This is troublesome. Has anyone else experienced this? > > 3 - DASH: sometimes I will say the word 'dash' in the middle of a phrase, and dictate will put it between the two words with no spaces. Personally, I will always want spaces on either side of the character. In the vocabulary editor, I tried to create the character set that I wanted: SPACE-SPACE, hoping it would override the other one I said the word 'dash' but it does not seem to be working correctly. Any ideas how to get this working to override the dictate default? > > > -- > Thanks, > Dave - DealTek > dealtek at gmail.com > [db-10] > > > > _______________________________________________ > MacVoice mailing list > MacVoice at listserver.themacintoshguy.com > http://listserver.themacintoshguy.com/mailman/listinfo/macvoice
