The ability to run DOS on a brand new wintel PC is one of the things that holds the platform back. Every processor, motherboard, etc etc has to be able to pretend its running on a glorified traffic light controller (Intel 8086) with a max of 640k of RAM. A previous poster was correct, Apple is still a "niche player" in some respects. If they want to continue to evolve and improve they have to be able to cut the dead wight. Don't get me wrong, i was really angered by the performance of OS X on my G3 AIO (one of the primary reasons i got my 867 Ti). Is it a perfect situation? no. Will i accept Apple making some difficult decisions to continue to grow the best computing platform on the planet? you bet. > Ryan Dorman, CCNA Communication and Network Services Millersville University Ryan.Dorman at millersville.edu 717.871.5883
