It's possible to do this. The company I worked at wrote porting code and it was as easy to do this at one time. Of course the scope of the code was limited to the toolbox calls we used. In fact Quicktime has a lot of toolbox calls which port over to the PC. The result? The "ported" programs screamed on the Pentium hardware. I remember one routine ripping through resource manager calls.... about 20 X faster on the PC than on the Mac. frightening.
